I wonder if it has a 980 because they got them cheap. The 980 is a pretty useless card - it costs 50% more than a 970 but only 25% more powerful. It isn't powerful enough to do 4K properly, and a 970 is more than good enough to do 1440p. It doesn't have a market because of it's price vs performance

Probably, I don't see the 980 selling all that well considering the marginal performance boost over the 970. Put a couple of 970s into SLI and you've got an acceptable 4K rig.

PC manufacturer marketing at it's most unhelpful.
Think you've hit the nail on the head there.

Looks like a deformed tyre. I'm personally more into the minimalist cases like Fractal's, although I do like the bi-colour design of the Corsair cases too.

The design looks horrible. It really looks like from the movie "Predator". not monster rig, just MONSTER )

Acer steppin its game up? Now just bring back some nice Gateway systems and I'll be happy. This looks pretty sweet. The old predators were cool but low quality and broke easily from what i heard.

Who the hell designed that - Why would I want a PC that looks like a track off a piece of farm machinery? :S
