I know they need PR but that statement makes me cringe.
I guess the developer conference Microsoft had a year ago for DX12 taught developers nothing compared to the tiny number of devs who added Mantle support to their engines?
And how many DX12 titles are scheduled? So far there are only 2 (yes TWO) titles I can find that are upcoming and partnering with AMD.....Although, perhaps that is most of dx12 titles in 2015/2016? Who knows?
If numbers of believed and over 80% of the market is nVidia, I doubt developers are going to give AMD owners extra love, in fact the opposite is more likely true.
I wish AMDs marketing focused on real benefits instead of horrid statements like this one.

Dunno about that.
If I was a games dev, then I would assume that Nvidia's Pascal will have any features that AMD currently have and *that* will be the ideal target for a game I was developing now.
And yes, I would expect a bit of hands on with a Mantle API would be worth more than a thousand lectures on an upcoming API. Now that we actually have DX12 drivers that kind of work, the situation is reversed, but that is quite recent.
It also doesn't say that it is an exclusive partnership, the same people may well be getting Nvidia support as well in equal quantity
Edit to add: Mind you, if I was developing a game for next year, I would be signed up at Khronos and be playing with preview Vulkan drivers so I can address the Win7 market, but that's just me![]()
hopefully with a no sabotage rule like oxide had with ashes. Working with AMD makes sense also because of the consoles. Most AAA games are on consoles and they optimize for that. AMD having 100% market share there means less work to get good PC games. When nvidia lacks features they can simply turn them off. of course this means amd is going to get a generational leap while nvidia will not, but nvidia fans will wait till pascal or w.e comes after that to catch up.
