PC system requirements for Star Wars: Battlefront published

I call BS on these requirements, I was asking a couple streamers on twitch and it said it was using less than 3GB of RAM. This high of requirements is that it's unbearably not optimized or there is ALOT of **** in the game. Same with Rainbow Six Siege beta, it's requirements was 6GB and it was running fine on 4GB of RAM while streaming it... Unless these requirements exclude the beta...

Higher detail levels will require more powerful GPUs, such as the GeForce GTX 980 and 980 Ti, as will higher resolutions.

Ahh yes, that sounds more reasonable. Perhaps EA is hoping that there will be a lot of optimisation before final release. The 970 is a good card, but it's still mid-range and I certainly wouldn't expect mine to be able to max out new games.

Eurogamer found a 290X could run at Ultra with vsync on an it didn't go below 60fps locked.

i5 rig in my sig, fired it up for quick play .

Dunno if vsync was on as had limited time and just wanted to play .

When quickly viewed settings it was set to Auto and others below it were greyed showing Ultra and FXAA high (IIRC on that last one) 1080P@120Hz.

Was dropped dead good looking, fluid graphics, will later have a deeper meddle and perhaps FRAP test it.

The graphics are pretty amazing to be honest and pretty much like the screenshots etc. Gameplay seems to be quite good, a couple of nice touches. Looking forward to the full game

Well, can confirm that recommended settings spec lets you play on ultra settings (but FXAA) at 1080p at over 60 fps and the game looks stunning. Very well done DICE.

wow heat just hit the roof .. cpu has a quad rad on it most games it runs at 40-45 deg c
just loaded this and bang flew and I do mean flew past 65 auto shut down wtf ??
guess a few things need to be sorted

Well I'm playing it using i7 3770K stock with Geforce 750 and it's smooth...running on low setting with res set on 1080p 120Hz
