I still see this as a win for AMD, that Nvidia need this guy over the talent they have home grown. A sign that Nvidia might be in new territory over this HBM age we have entered, with AMD seemingly taking a lead in.

Nvidia must be really desperate and really incompetent if they are having to 'head hunt' (a euphemism for industrial espionage!) an AMD software engineer!. Out of all of the software engineers in the world that thug-vidia could have hired, they specifically targeted Phil Rogers (the guy who invented Heterogeneous Compute). It is no coincidence that thug-vidia did this. They have always stooped to illegal means in order to cripple AMD. Now that thug-vidia has lost it's fraudulent lawsuit against Samsung (their case was kicked out of court last week and now Samsung is suing thug-vidia for damages in excess of $1 billion), thug-vidia is looking for another way to cripple AMD and they succeeded this time. I really hope AMD can find talented software engineers to replace Phil Rogers. Since AMD is friendly with MS, Kronos Group and now EA Games, they should hopefully be able to share expertise. I am also very disappointed with Phil Rogers, as he stabbed AMD in the back (but back stabbing is standard british behaviour).
Exactly. Thug-vidia is intending to steal AMD tech.
Interesting comment. We do live in a free jobs market, thankfully, so nothing illegal or improper about this in the slightest.
