It almost does sadly. The Freesync equivalent is £450, so Gsync is a £350 premium over freesync - nearly double the price!

    the prices are getting ridiculous.

    the PG279Q 2k panel - £719 (Scan)
    the PG27AQ 4k panel - £749 (Scan)

I seriously want the 2k version... but i can't justify over £700 for a monitor, especially when today 2 is the norm... i like 2. so thats an eye watering £1400 for apair of monitors.
fair enough they may last 10 years.... but you need to be rich or take a loan to buy new tech nowadays.

    prices are getting silly.

I guess this all comes down to what you want.
I have a GTX980 and so a G-Sync monitor makes sense for me, for others, maybe not so much.
It also depends on if you are a bit of a freak (like me) that likes the best he can get, no matter the cost.
I can not currently afford the 2.5K version, but I am saving up for it.
Is it worth it? Maybe not, but it's going to look amazing hooked up to my rig!

But the freesync one has been out for ages, and as I said there will be an early adopter tax for any new device until there are plenty sloshing around retail.

These things seem to go out of stock all the time so hard to compare, but in the past it seems to have been around £100.

I guess- when it was first introduced the freesync was £500 rrp so about a £300 difference for equivalent time on markets.
