Am I the only one that doesn't want banner ads (see the first screenshot explaining the layout)? If I've paid for a card then I don't want to be force-fed ads while trying to set it up and use it.
Come to that, why can't we just have a simple, unskinned app to control the settings instead of these big, bloaty, heavily themed apps with loads of extra stuff. If they must push out these sorts of integrating "gaming experience" things then I wish they'd offer a lightweight alternative for folks that prefer it. Like most folk I already have Steam and probably have most of their games delivered through that, I don't want my graphics driver trying to take over what Steam does. I'd much rather AMD put some real effort into delivering decent, stable Linux drivers than churning out guff like this.

Agreed, but since there are ads in CCC it's nothing new.
Also agreed. But that's supposedly the direction this is moving in.Come to that, why can't we just have a simple, unskinned app to control the settings instead of these big, bloaty, heavily themed apps with loads of extra stuff. 10 times quicker?
That's easy. If I tried to launch AMD Catalyst Control Center now then it wouldn't launch at all.
So assuming this one actually does something it's already there.
(If AMD CCC hangs around in the background killing it possibly help. But I shouldn't have to do that ..)
Also why should I have ADS in my drivers / graphics control center?
hopefully this will be better, i have never been a fan of ccc myself, always found it very clunky and outdated
