Re: Scan Computers launches Black Friday promotion

I got the GTX950 for less than £100. Some "deals" were not much but that was stonking and as I had been agonising over whether to buy a GTX 950 at £130 that made it a no brainer to me.

All of those complaining that they didn't get what they want. Look forward to a life of continuous unrelenting disappointment. With a sense of entitlement like that, you'#ll find you never get what you're "entitled" to.
How about you grow up instead?

Black Friday/Cyber monday deals were rubbish. For the past week or so looking at SSDs, Memory and graphics cards pre-black friday were prices were lower. Come friday last week some prices of components went up and were made to look like they were actual deals. Only a few deals that were decent was the OcUK Asus GTX 970 Turbo £226 then the amazon UK G1 Gaming GTX 970 for £229 and some 1tb SSD's selling for less than £100 were decent from Sandisk and Samsung. Every thing else was stingy mediocre deals nothing to shout about.

They used to bend-over-backwards to keep customers happy, then the recession hit and the penny-pinching started.

Now they are just another generic mail order company that will hide behind any "get out of jail free card" that they can muster. In the last 5 years, I've gone from ordering everything from them, to maybe a few items a year because the items are cheap enough to take a gamble and the delivery is free.
I had a Corsair headset break that I never got replaced or refunded for (they offered such a small percentage of what I paid for it, that I told them where they could put it!) and they also "found no fault" on a PSU that was clearly faulty....in fact, I had sent an identical unit with the identical fault back to them and they agreed it was faulty.....when the replacement did EXACTLY the same, it funnily was not faulty.....)

And then there are the slew of "bent pin" issues I keep seeing from their customers.....the solution? Take out ScanSure!....

I have found myself recently looking at the OcUK site....something that I never thought would happen......

Who was selling 1TB SSDs for less than £100? I must have missed that.
