Stared long and hard at a couple of very good graphics card deals, but I just can't justify another one of those just now!

Only recently bought this as well, without having seen a single episode previously.

Mainly bought non-techy Christmas presents for family this weekend. Saved a lot of money, but parted with quite a bit too :-(

couple of books, ordered Wednesday, delivered friday. not bad for free delivery from amazon.





I never professed to be any good at taking photos - and its a better post than just saying 'some books'
also. none were discounted in the sale, I just wanted some books.


dad bought some packs of 3kg sweets. ended up with about 40kg or so.

he's also happy he saved £77 ordering some flavoured coffee syrups. they were 1/3 off. bought a couple of dozen.
£80 of thorntons chocolate too. but we're not mentioning that

This years sales are worse than last years IMHO. The 480GB SSD for £80 from Amazon and Scan looked tempting but I could not justify it,even though I only have a 120GB one still. I nearly did buy the HD598 headphones on Amazon for £75 but by the time I got back from work they sold out and TBH I didn't really need them.

In the end a couple of mates bought Ark: Survival Evolved on Steam,since it was on offer,and I bought that instead.

OK,I got a refund on Ark since it ran like poo and was unstable and ended up getting the SSD for £80 since the long loading times for Fallout 4 were starting to get annoying.

Scan's deal for the EVGA 980ti FTW. Which they over sold on and am still waiting for a shipping confirmation. Woo

Nothing for me from Scan. The only thing of interest to me were the two 980Ti at over £100 off each. Because Scan sent out the email and started the offers on Thursday evening both were already sold out by the time I was reading the email at 4am on Friday. Black Thursday? In hindsight, it might have been a good thing with Pascal on the horizon.

I picked up Elite Dangerous from Steam for less than £10 and a 1TB Samsung EVO 850 SSD from Amazon because I couldnt resist it at that price (18.5p/GB)

I managed to cancel my order for the Samsung 850 EVO 500GB, and bought the 1TB version instead from Amazon. I couldn't resist at the cyber Monday pricing, it will easily last me 5+ years.
