Learning - Historical events from views from different perspectives e.g WW2 soldier to Farmer to Doctor all in the same time frame of the events.
VR Battle Royale Dating - Clusters of up to 100 random people will be challenged via different events and scenarios to narrow down to the last two survivors who will end up having the highest compatible for each other who will then get their own personal VR Date.
Estate agents showing virtual show homes.
Touring famous landmarks and museums; perfect for those less physically able who wouldn’t be able to travel there in person.
Both the construction and aerospace industry would hugely benefit from VR and Augmented Reality.
Logistical control centres in large sea ports may also benefit.
In the middle of the Sun ... or a nuclear reactor, an ocean current, a hurricane, a tornado base, the alimentary canal of a whale or a worm, or any other simulation where mortal researchers, teachers and students fear to tread.
Along similar lines but in the practical world, training scenarios for fire-fighting, emergency and disaster management, etc.
Property sales. This is the bedroom, this is the kitchen, this is the lounge, that's the basement, it's locked, you can't go down there. ... Oh, okay, let's go and have a look. <evil grin> ... <VR streaks with red .. then goes black>
Equipment and plant inspection, such as examining oil pipes or sewers. It's already done on screen but there might be benefit in feeding it into a VR-viewable 3D model. Any similar maintenance situation.
More generally, examining all sorts of 3D models from perspectives that don't really come across properly on a 2D monitor and have too many possibilities for animations to cater for.
For watching my last year's holiday on the Costa del Dull which I filmed it in 3D. You must come round and see it. Unfortunately it's only 6 hours long but you'll love it. You'll see my perspective as I learn surfing and keep falling in. It's hilarious! No, really.

There's a potential for VR to be useful in all sorts of ways, from virtual tourism to surgeons exploring the inside of a patient's body, firefighters inside damaged/burning buildings or engineers inside inhospitable environments like nuclear facilities. The list is, excuse the pun, virtually limitless.
As for attending on the 8th, that would depend on where in London, and what time of day. It's possible during the working day, but a non-starter for me that evening.
I think VR will be huge when it comes to education and helping the disabled. I have already read about how VR has been helping veterans when it comes to PTSD. I think once VR hits next year people will finally realise how important this technology really is.

Admins - Can you give me forum permissions to send private messages? We have a winner.
Will we get a confirmation when the winner is contacted? It help with the refreshing haha. Also will there be any other way for us to get a ticket if we are not lucky?
Thanks.
I'm not to proud to take a left over ticket.
So is there going to be a report on this 'event'? Or have I just missed it?
