What i'd like to see announced is development of a single player star wars game using assets from battlefront. Not everyone is into the multi player madness EA/Dice.

Re: DICE director confirms 'the next Battlefield' is in development

"Don't hate the player, hate the game!"

There couldn't be a better phrase, except it's in reverse. Hate the people who lap up the same old crap every year, it's their fault developers "create" these identical yearly releases with slightly different skins. If people actually stopped buying it like blind little sheep, maybe they would develop a decent game for once.

And yes, I am included in that sentence somewhat, although I stopped buying CoD after the original Modern Warfare when it started being a yearly release with slightly different colours, and although I did buy BF4, I was so let down I didn't get any of the ludicrous amounts of DLC. Or this new Battlefront crud they rushed out to hype up the new SW film.

Re: DICE director confirms 'the next Battlefield' is in development

Although Battlefield 4 had a difficult birth (to say the least), I'm happy that DICE LA are continuing to support the game with free DLC for all players (not just Premium owners). A case in point is the 'Legacy Operations' DLC which is released today

    BF5 released 2016

Unplayable until patch #5, sometime in 2017.

It's about time there was a proper follow-up to 2142. Robots > tanks.

Does a Bear do its business in the woods!?

Looking forward to it, but I am not paying £50 for the game and another £50 for the Season pass. Get realistic EA! If Battlefront was a reasonable price I would have bought that.

Re: DICE director confirms 'the next Battlefield' is in development

'As mentioned in the intro, the next Battlefield will return to the erm... Battlefield', that's sounding a lot better than Hardline already. I didn't really like the cops and robbers feel to it and it wasn't what I was expecting from the Battlefield franchise.

Re: DICE director confirms 'the next Battlefield' is in development

I'll probably still play BF4 after BF5 release, certainly won't be touching the game on RD as I was really disappointed with BF Hardline :/

Re: DICE director confirms 'the next Battlefield' is in development

Hoping for a World War setting or even Vietnam - sick of the modern world setting now in BF/CoD, although CoD has gone more futuristic, which I hate even more!
