It will continue until they release their new GPUs and CPU architectures. And it will continue after that if they suck.

If Zen architecture does well it will definitely be my first all AMD build.

To be honest Zen is it coming out too late but that's what happens when you sell all your fabrications and with some Arab gulf government running global foundries I doubt it will come out in 2016. Radeon Technologies will be come their own company soon.

Re: AMD reports Q4 2015 and FY2015 results, revenue slide continues

Funny how we read a lot of gloom and doom stories about declines in AMD shares, yet no-one so much as blinked when AMD's shares gained 25% over 10 days during December. Fluctuations in share price, people - look at the bigger story, not just the short-term headline figure.

AMD's longer-term share trajectory is actually very similar to Intel's - the fluctuations are consistent with fluctuations in the overall market. Even in the shorter term there are parallels: anyone remember this: http://hexus.net/business/news/general-business/89768-intel-makes-strong-q4-profits-slow-growth-concerns/ - Intel announce huge profits, give cautious outlook, shares drop 5.6% in overnight trading. Basically the same story. In fact, given AMD were announcing continued losses and revising their forecasts down, to only lose 6% shows a degree of investor confidence in AMD...

Until about 2019/2020. If you do a search, you'll see when AMD's long-term debt will require repayment or refinancing. It has enough cash reserves in the meantime.

In short though, if Zen and Polaris don't put AMD back in the green, it'll be the beginning of the end.
