gotten? Gotten? Are you American? If so then I'm not sure why you're bothered about what we do in the UK with the beeb, if you are from the UK then a bit more time spent watching some of the BBC's better output - and i would point out that BBC2 and BBC4 show a good deal of open university content - might help with the finer points of English grammar. Hope we've gotten that clear - innit.

Yawn... 30 years ago! Just like the police, and the NHS.

Do you think any of these organisations would do the same today?

If you're in a car crash, would you rather the police didn't attend and no ambulance was dispatched?

    Nope.. thought not.

It is time these dinosaur dictators had to earn their money, they use our taxes to make a few people wealthy and promote themselves eg BBC Victoria Derbyshire! How <admin edit language> dare they big someone up using my taxes!!!
It is way beyond time this garbage propaganda was stopped just like all the top executives/newscasters etc being paid massive six figure salaries whilst fleecing people massively poorer!

Make them advertise, or pay per view. Kill the TV Tax, licence fee now!

Funnily enough, I think you'll find Sky etc and the like pay higher salaries, and Id hardly call 50p a day 'fleecing'.

Maybe we should ban football, doesn't that involve people being paid massive six figure salaries whilst fleecing people massively poorer?

Really? Perhaps you should try listening to or watching some of the BBC's news and current affairs programmes before you make that assertion, and back it up with some facts!

It is well known that the BBC have been receiving money from the EU, here are a couple of articles on the subject...: -

    Hope they help...

Not trying to be a know-it-all but the comment stands, it has nothing to do with Americans what we do with a British broadcaster. And if you're not American, well....

Iggy be very careful about stirring things up - it doesn't go down well on here. If you want to flame a thread go join another forum.

Public money goes to world leader in public service, for research into innovations that will benefit the public.

    Not exactly a shocker.

The articles you link to clearly say what the money was for. Not sure what your point was, but the articles you link to show it's moot.
