These are gaming monitors. You don't need 1440p.

I would say the opposite tbh - with a good spec pc 1440p is ideal for gaming these days. 4K is a few years off, but with an i7 & 1080 I am yet to find a game I can't run at over 60fps on close to max settings at 1440p. The only challenge was deus ex,but a few little tweaks got it there.

Regardless no 1440p and no g-sync option = no interest from me. Probably a good thing as I really don't need a new monitor
