    Google reverse image search doesn't show up any previous uses other than that page & a couple of eastern european reposts. One of the CPU's has an AMD sticker, and all the CPU's appear to fit the same socket - unless they've run a big CPU test with only AMD CPUs before then I'd wager it's ryzen

    The one on the left appears to have "8370E" scrawled on it so probably an FX chip, and yes on closer look they seem to be AMD heat spreaders so the next one in is an FX4300.

    A quick dig on Anandtech shows they like using a sharpie on their CPUs:





    I guess if you have boxes of the things lying around you have to keep them well labelled.
