If Valve wants to take itself more out of the equation it begs the question "Who will handle customer (dis)satisfaction?"
... also how will this tackle the huge amount of terrible releases, broken green-light games, or re-badges that presently plague steam ?
I think the submission fee is aimed at reducing the asset flipped unity junk that gets thrown around. As for terrible, that's in the eye of the beholder. As long as a game is functional & the store description is accurate I have no problem with that.
