    I dismissed this on day one due to, you got it, DRM. I have a fair few DVDs of my favourite BBC shows that have inevitably got ripped to my media server. Skipping the ripping step would definitely be of interest to me, but no use if it's DRM'd.

    If I'm going to buy something - I want it to be mine forever without having to worry about support dropping off due to lack of activity at some point.

    Which is my big chagrin about many games today. Whilst I think Steam is established enough now not to go anywhere, there are other platforms that aren't so guaranteed. And then many games that require server connectivity that may get "sunset" in a few years time when people stop buying new copies of the game.

    I'm sure everyone thought that about Gamespy when it got integrated into games as the multiplayer platform...
