Not replace so much as add in an extra 16GB stick of DDR4. I started doing CFD work and the computers at uni weren't fit for purpose so dropped the £75 on the extra ram that was necessary to run my simulations.

    Replaced a 24" 16:9 screen with a 24" 16:10, have a matching pair now. I like the extra depth.

Keyboard. Changed a compact CoolerMaster TKL with MX Blues for a Logitech full sized keyboard with MX Browns. Got fed up with the TKL toggle jiggery pokery! Now I miss the CoolerMaster's compact portability and softwareless config.

A Fractal Design Define R5, well made, very easy to build into and as quiet as a church mouse.

Re: QOTW: Which component did you change most recently?

I added an extra 1TB SSD as I needed more space for games

And a Silverstone ES02-USB remote controlled power and reset switch, because it is too much work to get up and walk to the other side of the living room to turn my computer on

Re: QOTW: Which component did you change most recently?

My latest upgrade was moving to a dual monitor setup a little under two years ago, mostly because I wanted better quality and more room than my previous singular monitor provided, but also to have something more modern and energy efficient.

A few months before that, I replaced a hard drive. That was replacing the boot drive out of necessity as the previous drive was showing signs of failing.

Haven't changed anything in the home config yet actually, but the last part I replaced was a PSU only 1 yr old in my office box. Fan was making the sound of death. Picked up a 350w replacement.

My whole rig is fairly new still but the last thing I did on it was replace the case as my cpu radiator didnt quite like the old one.

Re: QOTW: Which component did you change most recently?

PSU last month after previous one conked out. Prior to that it was swapping an old 160GB HDD for a 240GB SSD I salvaged from an old laptop. You have to go back a couple of years to get to fun upgrades like GPU/CPU/mobo etc.

that bloody 180mm silverstone fan what supposed to be silent silent and yes one couldnt hear the wind whistling thats true but a constant brrrrrrrrrrrrrr from the rotating part what annoyed me so much
was my biggest money waste for ages (including a 980ti and an Acer Predator 4k both nice money wasters )

Hah. If you think journalism is a 9-5, 5day/week affair, you've got a misconception or two about press and media.

What's this "weekend" thing you talk about?
