First CPU(s) - a pair of Pentium III @ 800 MHz / 256K Cache / 133 MHz FSB for use with an ABIT VP6 MB.
Amd 386-40 :)
AMD Duron k7 1200mhz.I still have the scan of the pc build invoice.
I was very happy because i could watch movie rips and play serious Sam and counter strike 1.6.
Very Fast cpu at the time.Outperformed pentium 2 MX at least two times. Then after 2 years the new pentium 3 camed out, which had 1.8ghz and lot of cache, i remember that pentium 3 was very fine with cossacks game.
well according to wiki the amstrad CPC6128 ran on a Zilog Z80A @ 4 MHz.
My first proper PC was a Mesh built around an AMD Athlon 700 / possibly 750 (it came running at 760MHz),
my first self-build used an i3-540.
Probably Z80A 1Mhz after shorting out a ZX81's original one with a faulty expansion.
First separate purchase processor was an 8087 but not sure if that counts as it's a co-processor rather than central processor ;)
K6-2 300!
Amd k6-2 300!
AMD 5x86-133 to upgrade a DX2-66 system.
First brand new one I bought would be an Athlon XP 2600+ Barton which I overclocked accidentally by having the board jumpered for 400MHz FSB instead of the 333 it was supposed to run at :D
AMD 586 90mhz
it was a AMD 486sx33mhz then k6-2 400mhz the first Athlon 500mhz and a overclocking DIP board that plugged in to the cpu :) now that I site here and think of all the chips I have bought over the years lol
