Nice.
However,12 years of me being here, and finding loads of Hexites good bargains means I have no real reason to tell porkies anyway! ;)
This is the company which made the chairs IIRC:
http://www.thesenatorgroup.com/uk/senator/
Main designer:
https://www.nurus.com/en/designer/paul-brooks
Even won a red dot award for his chair designs.
They do business furniture and its not cheap but they are designed for long office usage, but it also means office surplus and furniture surplus places will often do them reasonably cheaply due to over orders or companys going bankrupt. The same goes for auctions, etc and I know people who have got loads of stuff from there.
Like with a lot of these things, what is the chance you will find the "gaming chair" is a rebadge of some cheaper model made by an OEM??
The business furniture OTH is built to last, but OFC don't expect the brands to be mega-advertised to the general public.
I even remember going back to the 90s,there were places(warehouses) selling loads of these things down south. They were businesses which bought and sold these kind of things in bulk,so you could visit these companies and get a chair or two for not much. New,slightly used, etc take your pick.
OFC,not much use if such places are not near to where you live, but if there are places nearby they are worth checking out.

I've some links at home somewhere to 24-hr operator chairs, for about £80.
They're not 'By Gamers For Gamers' chairs, but they are used by police dispatchers and similar roles where people are sat for long periods and the chair is in continual use round the clock.
As well as solid, supportive foam, they have something like 9-12 points of adjustment whereas the current trend of Gamer Chairs seem to have maybe 5 or 6 at most...
My current chair was donated by work, but when that wears out I was planning on getting one of these 24hr ones.
He deffo knows where to look.
Re: Corsair launches the T2 Road Warrior gaming chair
Seeing as most of the gaming chairs are all made in the same factory... on the same manufacturing line... by the same workers I'd be hard pushed to get one. I even use a bog standard £40 one from somewhere instead of the £300 gamer chair we were all given here at HEXUS due to how uncomfortable they are.

That's a tried and tested method of ensuring good quality products without increasing the price above certain thresholds. That's used in industry all over the planet. Get into any Skoda, Seat or Volkswagen - they'll all feel much the same, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth the price they ask.
Having "tested" a few chairs, I can agree that some of them were definitely from the same production lines, but they are of a solid quality and look great.
Of course, to play devil's advocate with myself, it would be nice if everything we purchased was produced in a bespoke factory, by skilled craftsmen, to the highest Swiss standards.

If you have a Costco membership, this chair looks like good value...and it's leather :P

It is used in products all of the planet. Difference is they still have different products. 99% of gaming chairs are the same.
Re: Corsair launches the T2 Road Warrior gaming chair
Ikea Markus. Real leather, 10 year guarantee. As long as you have a relatively normal body, theres no need for anything else.

Having tried a VW and an Audi but still ending up getting a Škoda, as well as working on and experiencing a good number of most VAG vehicles, I can quite categorically state that they feel drastically different... more so after a couple years of use.

Why Swiss?
Everyone knows the English were the greatest furniture craftsmen, especially with Sheffield-made tools!

Having said that, what's wrong with spending £300 on a chair that you might use every single day? Some people spend more than twice that on a graphics card that will be outdated within 2 years.
Nothing wrong at all assuming you can afford to do so. With that said, if I was going to spend £300+ on a chair, it wouldn't be a Corsair PU leather chair, it would be an Noblechairs EPIC series using real leather. Which is what I intend to do later on this year.

Yeah,Ercol and Chesterfields are legendary for their fit and finish, and those Sheffield-steel tools last decades. I have some old screwdrivers and the heads don't wear out easily at all.

Dude,he probably wants one,so don't deflate his world over it. He probably believes everything that a company will advertise on FB,etc is the truth and is more concerned by the name, than all those pesky details you talk about.
Its like those hifi people who believe in gold plated, blessed extra oxygen free copper cables(or whatever crap it is) which are made in China and sell for £1000/m and think it will actually improve sound quality. You can literally show them actual measurements, and they still will plonk their head in the sand. Don't try arguing with them.
I am actually surprised as a website employee you are not trying to sell the padding,as I have seen employees of websites/companies go on forums and do that, because they have vested interests and want to enable it.
Having said that Rollo was well before his time. A pioneer. Not sadly missed.

But remember that won't be good enough in 2018,it needs to have Corsair-Beats-Apple-Samsung(C-BAS) branding since if it does not have loads of advertising on FB,its obviously not worthy.
Re: Corsair launches the T2 Road Warrior gaming chair
CAT-THE-FIFTH's front room, cos decoration of any kind is obviously ridiculous.

So no RGB then?
Re: Corsair launches the T2 Road Warrior gaming chair
Yeah, because if it does not have Corsair/XYZ gamerz branding it must have no design elements. Not sure where people have been for the last 50+ years of furniture design.
