MASSIVE 'hands on' Pariah preview and screenshots

Yes, I was lucky enough to get my mitts on X-Box code of Pariah and then be walked and talked through it by two bods from Digital Extremes.

You can see what I thought of the game and some of it's rather nifty utilities right here.

Yep, reckon this is going to be a corker.

if they want it to. they'd need to provide the opengl and libao output plugins provided with ut2004, and they'd need to actually compile a linux version.

where's ryan gordon when you need him?

you mentioned that you were seeing some of the pariah action on Manny's laptop... just curious, was it an xbox version running on his laptop (i.e. low resolution & lesser special effects) or was it a beta PC version?

i'm curious because i'm in the market for a new laptop that will be able to play games like this, even at a lower resolution. what kind of lappy did manny have?

It looked fairly high res, and special effects didn't seem any less than the X-Box version I actually played with.

If you're looking for a decent gaming lappy for a very resonable price tehn one of the Acer 8100 series might be right up your street, we had a sneaky peak at the 8104, which you can have a read of here.

We should be getting one in for proper testing soon, so keep an eye out for it!

looks downright sexy - just hope the gameplay is all it's supposed to be!

IMHO HL2 went too far with physics - drastically increasing the hardware requirements for what is effectively eye candy - Pariah may've struck the right balance of eyecandy and gameplay! I hope so!
