Made sure to back up all the files I care not to lose and updated. Seems fine so far.
Guess I'll put my gambling pants on and try update tonight
I'm not updating until they fix the inevitable problems.
Last time it borked my GPU drivers so the monitor was totally blank as soon as it got past the boot screen, borked my missus's laptop so it took 30+ minutes to get from log in screen to desktop and was then withdrawn once the damage was done.
Did they sort out the issue where pro licences were downgraded to home? I've been in Linux for the past week, but would hate to boot into Windows to do the update and have it do that.
I can finally do the reinstall I was planning to do... best get on with backing up everything that's important I suppose lol
As usual, their graph is a bit misleading!

Couldn't wait for the official statement to do my fresh install so 5 days ago I used UUP Dump to create an iso with the 1809 version and lastest updates from the fast ring and didn't have no issue. It installed the version 17763.1 then after 3 days, the 17763.55 and today after the last update it installed the 17763.134. Only issue since the 17763.55 version was windows update kept forcing the install of flash player through windows update which cause softwares crashes but I could and still can unistall this specific update manually and problem solved. I wish I could block windows update from installing that garbage since nothing I use needs flash player but whatever. Since today update check, no issue to report and files are still where I left them even though I don't leave any dear file on my computer for windows to mess with anyway. Let's see after a couple of days/weeks before rejoicing though.
Perfect timing. That means that the April update is probably just about safe to start deploying now.
No way would I risk running the poorly coded, shockingly poorly tested diarrhea that spews from the Windows team for at least 6 months after release. Even then I'm not so sure.
I've also got an alternative explanation for the decreasing customer incident rate. People are learning how to disable the CPU and disk hog that is "Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry"
"In a perfect world... spammers would get caught, go to jail, and share a cell with many men who have enlarged their penises, taken Viagra and are looking for a new relationship."
I'm on the Semi-Annual release and not had any OS issues for ages now. Definitely worth a punt IMO, even for power users.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

For those of a cautious mindset, I've just seen that the Media Creation Tool has been updated to build 1809 - so I'm downloading the ISO now and will try a trial install before I inflict it on my main system.
