German Railways To Get WLAN RailNet

Sat on the train a few weeks ago, I thought it was about time there was wireless net access on our railways. Snooping around Slashdot today (absolutely nothing to do with this) I found that in Germany this will soon be the case.

Babelfish has done a sterling job of attempting to translate the original article from Heise.de.

I have just been informed that GNER offer Wi-Fi on their trains.

Thanks to Rich for the tip.

It would be nice if it was free, however. I'm suprised I haven't noticed it. Perhaps I haven't travelled on a GNER train since I got a wireless enabled laptop.
