Good luck migrating your games collection when a new platform fails to gain traction or the increased competition leads to an established platform failing. Too much end user risk unless the DRM expires on your purchases and you can download backup installation files. Platforms can look to Microsoft for an email template for closure notices and if you're lucky you might get a partial refund.

I would rather support GOG and the game devs that are offering DRM free games. Maybe you could have some block chain proof of having purchased various games and then move freely between platforms but I don't see that being a voluntary move by the games industry.

Other notable exclusive titles are; The Division 2
    Which is cheaper on uPlay.

I mean if Epic were really serious about supporting developers they would have launched with a full feature storefront that also supports communities behind games, as well as all of the other little features available on Steam. Also they wouldn't need to buy exclusives nor charge the consumers full price.

The more Tim Sweeney makes comments like these, the more I absolutely refuse to touch EGS or support Epic in any form (or the developers and publishers who decide to use that platform). He's doing nothing to improve the PC gaming market with his current childish actions.

This is a fairly good summary as to why i never want to support EGS in any way.

Epic can respectably bite me. I used to be a big Unreal fan, they straight-up lied when they said they'd release a native Linux port of the UT3 game engine, and they've since abandoned the franchise. Not to mention the only way I'd run their nosy launcher is in a well padded container to isolate it from my system.
