The only pc we have a screen saver on is our media pc in the lounge, and only if we have it playing music, we'll then play a slide show of our photos.

Personally I just let the monitor go to sleep, green world and all that
Yes: "blank" then "preview" manually,
which not only blanks the screen,
but it also gives the video card a rest.
(I'm doing tests to see which PC components
continue working the longest after their
factory warranties expire: so far,
ASUS motherboards are WAY out in front
on this measure. I hesitate to identify
those motherboards, because some of you
will probably laugh at my "obsolescence"
No screensaver to be seen, the screen is off/idle (no backlight, no image) after 15mins.
Yep. Matrix screen saver. It's only on for a little bit, but still quicker to cancel a screen saver than to wake a sleeping monitor. Plus it gives me quiet confidence that Windows 10 isn't having a paddy with power and might actually put my PC to sleep if I walk away.
