My RTX 2080 hasn't been "super"ceeded by 'that' much. Still happy with my purchase.

These products do seem a bit "super"fluous and are really just to distract from the AMD launch.

$500 for a x60 part? I'm going to have to drop out of 'mainstream' even..

Re: EVGA GeForce RTX Super series listed on Amazon.com

I am trying to justify purchase of 2080 at the current prices. Tough job...
Now having the so called "super" on the way - maybe the price drops a little - yet i guess it still wont be easy.
Anyway i have a feeling that the "super" suppose to be the release performance levels that were tweaked down.
so ye, Super! we got what we should year later and for double the price...

The yields may not have been there, equally said isn't this pretty normal for any release? The "tweaked" versions come at a later date.

Looks like RTX 2060 Super is coming out at $399 USD accoding to videocardz.com:

    https://videocardz.com/81149/nvidia-...ty-date-leaked

I smell a price cut for Navi sooner rather than later if so.

This article quotes $499 for the EVGA 2060 super in per topic title, which is what I'm referring to. It mentions the reference design might have MSRSP of $399 as per the same source you quote, but I can't remember the last time I bought a reference GPU.

Still handy to know you can get an rtx 2060 super for $100 less than the evga 2060 super. When I saw your "I'm going to have to drop out of 'mainstream' even.." comment, I figured you might be interested.

Thanks, appreciate it. If I'm honest, $399 is too much for mainstream for me as well. It'll probably be about £380 over here, while my 1060 was more like £240 when they were fresh out.

It might fall to £300-ish on Black friday but yes, its not obviously not close to the 1060 £240 price sadly.

Indeed. Regardless, I have no interest. I have a psychological aversion to paying more than £300 for a GPU regardless of what I can afford. The exception would be if it was for work but I have no need for GPU's for work beyond displaying things even integrated GPU's can do.

Same here. I bought my EVGA 1080ti about 2 years ago on Amazon Prime day for £608. Now they're charging not much less - $599 on Amazon, for a real (super) 2070 card (ie cut from the TU104 like the 2080, like previous generations of cards).
