It is very likely that I am gonna go for (some) newest radeon models, but I would like to see intel's upcoming GPU for mid-range market. There is no need to rush...
R9 380 I have, still doing ok job for me... Can't complain...

I'm going to wait to see how RTX evolves and take the plunge when it doesn't run like dog.
WTH...What kind of fanboy-ism inducing question is that?! When the time comes I'll make the best choice for my particular case. It could also be Intel who knows?!
Very true but I am assuming what they mean is 'if you were making a decision today'. For me I would be leaning towards AMD. The new navis seem to be offering a bit better value and it will be interesting to see whether they introduce new models soon for a broader range and when they add raytracing to their cards.
AMD is about to mature for real, so AMD got a strong hold in me.
Won't be upgrading for a while but AMD have come up a long way recently so will keep an eye on them for sure when I upgrade my NVidia card.
Although AMD always was King on the CPU side for me, as I always go for price/performance I have never, ever seen AMD as the best price/performance in my life when it comes to GPUs so I always bought NVIDIA and I can't see this changing anytime soon. There's also all the other benefits from Nvidia like CUDA and CUDA and... CUDA... And RTX now! It's great for architectural visualization which is what I work with.
Waiting for the RX 5600 to come out.
Most likely if I ever needed a new video card from my 1070 Amp. I would go AMD next. AMD will be releasing a beefier GPU later. The 5800/5900 series I believe. I would likely go with a 5800XT/5900XT. Whatever the number will be. I am waiting for the better ones. Pretty sure it will have Vega pricing though. Which will suck.
I have had my RTX 2080 for quite some time and I am sure it will see me through at least 3 to 4 more years...Very impressive and powers through all my gaming at 1440p and 4k though the price was way too much...thankfully I sold my GTX 1080 at the right time which made it palatable cost wise...
Nvidia all the way. You get what you pay for. If you want value then AMD but otherwise I don't honestly think AMD ever has been competitive since ATi overclocking days and thats going back some time now. Even then i chose 3dfx/intel. Quality always.,
7nm and must have all RTX features (it's coming, like it or not, RT is here, DLSS, VRS etc). $500-700 this time ($509 last 1070ti, radeon 5850 $300 before that), so moving up my purchases like most I guess. That is, if you are going by NV/Intel Q reports etc. I'm guessing Nvidia, but AMD could surprise with RTX features on 7nm. Heat also means a lot to me in a HOT state, so I always pick a card that runs cool anyway (either side, this is not negotiable). I can say for certain it won't be INTEL...LOL@drivers for decades. They will have to prove themselves for a few gens before I would EVER purchase.
Bought a 2080ti and have a small dose of buyers remorse. That said, it will last 5 years I expect, so won't be changing any time soon. Though I now have the urgent to watercool it. What could possibly go wrong
I know whatever I get next won't be top-end ... just too expensive now, 1080ti price was as high as I'd ever go,so that'll probably be a 3060 if things keep going like they are.
Maybe Intel will shake the market up.
No idea, all options are pretty expensive. Even intel could be my next pick, but I won't hold my breath for them since they haven't been that impressive in the graphics department so far, particularly with larabee. It would be nice to have the option of raytracing with nvidia, but then I'm not sure I want to pay high end for first gen.
ATI/AMD Big Navi and Freesync 2 HDR1000 monitor 2k (or minimum HDR600)
