Well, i'm officially old now. Have VM 350 and to be honest probably wouldn't notice if I was on the 200 package. Not paying for this unless they can get the upload speeds past 100 so I can work better from home.

just found out they arent selling the Hub4 seperatly![]()
Been downloading a little from the Microsoft store, that seem to be able to give me 1/4 of what i can get.
Now most people in the world, are far from able to be on a gigabit connection or faster, so how the hell do they expect gamers to download 60 GB or even more ?
I personally would not sit for god know how many hours that would take on a 10 mbit DSL line, that IMO would just be stupid and i would constantly feel like someone was yelling IDIOT into my ear.
Maybe other people are just more patient than i am, but downloading Gears 5 from the Microsoft store even at the speed i was getting ( settling around 230 Mb/sec ) was painful but my imagination have no problem seeing what it would feel like 100 X slower.
I wish I could get these sorts of speeds... My 30Mb/5Mb combo isn't the worst by any state but I do wish for faster internet.. Aluminium cabling between me and the cab doesn't help but then neither does the 800m or so I'm away from it
Oh Virgin Media, please come down to Somerset at some point and hopefully very soon!!

The fiber company then sent invites out to everyone in the area based on my fake interest forms, and invited us to a meeting on the local inn where of course not that many turned up, BUT ! still they talked we listened and got coffee and cake on their expense, and a few months later i got a letter saying they would expand to our area within a year, even if interest was not as large as their internet forms had indicated
And we are talking a rural area here, the little town i lived in was like 10 houses and 3 small farms, then then you had more small farms or ex farms spread around with many 100 M in between the houses.
Still it was only some 12 KM west of the #2 largest town in Denmark, but thats far enough out on the country that in winter only the farmers did snow clearing with their tractors, the snow plows / salt machines dident come "out there" on those small roads.
So the poor SOB's out there, they got to do everything they can to get things moving, i turned to "document fraud" / online interest forms fraud and it worked for me, though i only got to enjoy it for a year before the house had to go.
And i am looking for a apartment where i can get fiber again, cuz really the people making money on me ( the owner of the cable ) are evil and i don't feel good giving them my money, and besides same speed up as down are the way to go, actually i would prefer to have 110 mbit download and 1000 mbit upload on my current cable connection.
And as i understand it the docis 3.1 format used on my cable do support that, but ISP wont play ball with me, i also asked for 500/500 and that request they also turned down.

My speeds on cable, do fluctuate some thru-out the day running speedtest to local places, but i found that Amazons speedtest at fast.com provide me with a most consistent result all time of the day.
Even my own ISPs speedtest are less consistent than fast.com
When i had fiber in my house the speed never fluctuated, it was always just over the 30/30 mbit i paid for.
wow, that's so fast!
We have fibre right outside the house, connection pot installed and all ready to go. We've had it for two years. We still can't get it connected because the company have not enabled the cabinet.
