    We do have to remember the diametrically opposing methods of measuring TDP between Intel and AMD.

    You can set a Power limit in Ryzen Master and achieve the same thing.

    Or just buy whichever part you've already chosen and be happy with it.

    yeah partly budget, but also the fact i do most of that currently on a Haswell duel core without to many problems so figured this would be a big improvement without breaking the bank. Got some time to save though so will be interesting to see what the i5's come out like and how much the Zen 2 chips will be by the time these are out.
