Upto 5.3Ghz with TVB for smooth detailed gameplay?
And here was me thinking that GPU was more important there, when was the last time we saw a modern CPU being the bottleneck?

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
Meh... a headline speed of 5.3GHz means nothing if it can only hit it for a short time before throttling down due to heat, unfortunately many 'less knowledgable' people will likely jump on a laptop using this chip because of the fact 'it's the fastest'.
I suppose Intel have got to push the mobile chips while they can because it really seems like AMD are catching up with the latest ryzen 4xxx release.
You can hook it upto the hospital LN2 supply whilst you're having your COVID treatment. Might actually run at 5.3GHz for longer than it takes to run the benchmarks that way. /s
Presumably battery life is no longer a problem. Or does the chip throttle down to 3Ghz after a few seconds to prevent the device from catching fire?
*remembers fondly when AMD was being savaged for being hot*
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!

Hypothetical:
If single core at max speed 5.3GHz is 25w plus 4w IO, 2.5w RAM, 15w GPU, 2.5w screen. Two cores active at 5GHz with idle GPU about 60w TDP. Four cores at 3.8GHz with idle GPU within 60w TDP. Lower CPU clock when GPU is fully used. Quickly alternates high power between CPU and GPU each game frame. Full boost for total of 5 secs per 30 secs depending on chassi. A chassi that supports 20% more heat may allow 10% more MHz on the sustained speeds.

It is a very fast one, can't believe) Does it need super costly coolers?
You'll need more threads, but the days of one highly boosted single core making a difference are already gone - previous gen intel laptop chips hit 8 cores, so will be fine for matching the consoles
The base speed of the non-K model is only 2.3 GHz
It was more the per core performance I was thinking of tbh and MS are allowing developers to use 8 cores at 3.8GHz or 8/16 @ 3.6GHz so developers don't have to worry about re-tooling immediately for more threads compared to X1(and PS4). And ofc, not everything can be parallelised(?) or makes sense to.
