    HEXUS.beans :: ATi's Cap'n Hook Raids NVIDIA's Booty

    Posted by David on the front page:

    Select journalists at the CeBIT trade fair in Germany were tittled at the tattle of eyewitness reports of Chris Hook, ATi Technologies' EMEA PR Manager, seemingly out on a cruise... to recruit senior NVIDIA employees in to ATi.

    Apparently Chris' efforts seemingly went unrewarded at that stage, but HEXUS has just learnt that ATi may have just recruited two key NVIDIA people.

    The first of these is apparently Ivica Stankovic, who up until now has worked for an NVIDIA distributor in the Balkan's called PAKOM.

    Apparently in his role at PAKOM, one of Ivica’s key responsibilities was to arrange NVIDIA PR events, and to some, by de facto, he was considered to be NVIDIA's Balkan PR Manager.

    However the real jewel of the booty seems to be ATi Technologies' recruitment of NVIDIA's PR manager for Italy - Lorenzo Martone.

    What green secrets can Lorenzo now share with his new red team buddies?

    Lots we hear, especially since NVIDIA seem not to have arranged for him to have signed a formal confidentiality agreement...

    This turn of events is obviously a major PR coup for ATi, though how these individuals perform their duties within ATi's culture
    is yet to be seen.

    The question we're now asking is how long can it be before NVIDIA set off on similar bucaneering antics?

    Note: At the time of writing we're waiting to hear from both companies.

    Update: We've not managed to get a statement out of Captain Hook but, when questioned, his First Mate said: "Only the best for the Captain's table."

    If you 'panned the waters' for chicken nuggets - then I'd imagine they would look less appealing than these...

    ...gold, however, retains its sheen - even when soaking wet, freezing cold or imported from overseas

    I will agree with you on the potatoes thing; plus, the best KFC I've ever had is in Budapest
