    In YOUR opinion....

I've got a decent size desk and I still don't want a 32inch 16:9 or 16:10 screen in front of me.
    TFT Central:
"As an example, text and fonts on a 28” 3840 x 2160 resolution screen are very small indeed, arguably too small for most users. Running the screen at native resolution for office type work can be difficult. Those with very good eye-sight might find it okay, but for many the fonts will be uncomfortably small, making it hard on the eyes."

Yes its my opinion along with a ton of others if you care to go look into it. You're better off saving your money and going for a 1440p at that size.

Companies like LG spend ridiculous amounts of money on market research, though. They don't just Google a couple of review sites. So the fact that they would release a 27" 4K screen would suggest that their own market data, and the people interrogated in order to gather that data, disagrees with your opinion.

That Mister LSG here might be in a minority is neither here nor there. He still wants something and LG have clearly made it for him and his ilk.
There is a general screen size to resolution ratio which indicates what many people prefer... but if we all preferred the same thing, there'd be no need for companies to innovate and make anything different.
As is, this is bucking the recent trend of companies producing large screens with low resolutions. ISTR the latest one was 32" in 1080p, or something?

If you personally don't want it, just don't buy it. I probably wouldn't, either, but I'd not get so upset over those who would.

Displayed font size is not solely determined by resolution though - you can either scale the fonts or zoom in.

What on earth are you on about, I'm not upset anyone wants a 27" 4K high refresh display, I'm upset that there isn't a 32" option at all nothing nada

yes you can scale the front you're right but its at the cost of screen real estate and given high refresh rates is for games for the most part given your eye to screen distance @4k then 32" is pretty much the optimal size. I'm not sure why I'm having to explain this its pretty wide spread knowledge. If you want a 27" go for it but lets not pretend lack of 32" is a real problem and is actually the preferred screen size for 4k even LG should know that.

Dismissing someone else's quite valid requirements, and trying to tell them what they should want based on other people's requirements (which just happen to be your own)... You clearly have issues with the fact that this does actually suit some people.

Hang on, so a minute ago you're complaining that the fonts are too small. Of course if you need to make them bigger then it's going to take up more screen estate. If you don't like that, then don't make them as big! It's completely up to you and has no bearing on resolution choice.

No LG, no. People want 32" (or there abouts) for 4k can you pls get on and do it.
Speak for yourself, I want 4K at 27inch and don't want 32inch because it's too big to work comfortably on...
    It's never too big! :-)

every time I was purchasing a new monitor or tv I was thinking "is it going to be too big?!". had 32inch tv was thinking "god that's massive" until I got 50"....then 65"
now after a few months I think 75" would be better

but in terms of monitors I think 32" is nicer than 27" unless you have multimonitor setup

A screen does not have any real estate. Unless you're designing a webpage with the express purpose of subversively advertising and selling stuff, it's just screen space.
People who talk about "screen real estate" sound like they should be wearing an 80s power suit and handing out eggshell business cards with Romalian type font and raised lettering... maybe even a watermark.

Heh, true. Of course, the only reason I want a physically larger monitor is because I'm running out of space on my windows desktop
