If those rumoured prices are true, I really really hope that AMD brings out something special and it forces a price war....gpu prices are already expensive, those prices are just ludicrous for 'gaming' cards.
Having said that I'm kind of expecting the 3090 to be the 'titan' for this generation but if it was I'd expect double the ram...
Well I suppose I can wait a few more weeks to see how much Nvidia is going to screw us over with pricing

I'm sure there will be too, while I'm basically forced to use nvidia due to cuda (software only supports cuda) and expecting to spend around £1000 (not exactly cheap but about 1/5 the price of the equivalent quadro) for my next gpu, I sure won't be saying the nvidia gpu prices are 'good value' unless they come down a LOT and I mean A LOT.Quote:

IMO the last category are probably people that could never afford the most expensive items themselves (what do you expect if you keep saying higher prices are ok) and I'd argue a lot of their 'viewpoint' is more about make themselves feel better about having a lower spec piece of hardware. Either that or they've never had to buy anything themselves due to the bank of mum and dad lol.
The issue for me is the timing,and also the terminology. They are basically getting annoyed when people are suggesting mainstream prices need to be better,and how higher end price increases are pushing up the mainstream. Making all sort of inane argument....just like that bloke did.Quote:

I was really looking forward to this launch and CP2077, and I know we're running on rumours here in regards to overall performance, but it really feels like more questions are coming up than answers in terms of buying an Ampere card and how much longevity it is going to offer.

Not one person bought one of these cards.
The price might then fall to acceptable levels. But, as usual, we'll lap them up and pay the silly cash for an extra 12fps over the previous gen. (Even though the MINIMUM frames is more important than having 4,027fps.)
