What I would really like to know is fps gains with rtx disabled. Nvidia has been bragging about performance gains but all these comparisons rtx mode which quite frankly is badly optimised on 20xx cards I'm not interested in rtx! I want high frame rates at high resolution.

Given the 'apparent' power of the new graphics cards...A more graphically taxing game could've been used.
Control, or something similar.
Doom Eternal isn't exactly cutting edge.
Guess we will have to wait for some decent independent reviewers when the cards are eventually released from Nvidia NDA's.

I thought Doom Eternal wasn't RTX anything? And this is 4k high frame rate isn't it?

Yea Doom Eternal doesn't have ray tracing at the moment. I wouldn't surprised if they added ray tracing further down the line for supported cards and next gen consoles though they'll probably add it to Quake 3 first!

8K...ROFLMAO. Wake me when 4k is 5% of the gamers. Currently 2.3% for 4k, so I'll be waiting a while for 8k to hit 1% share. Even 1440p is only 6%. How about covering what your readers actually do daily...Hint: 65% are gaming at 1080p.

I dont think its the ground truth. For example I want to play 4k, and i have the screen for it, but 1080ti sometimes just doesn't do the job, so i need to scale the resolution down and the screen does up scaling.
Anyway, this shows comparison with DLSS ON on the 3xxx, it's grapes to apples comparison...
