I think AMD if they win this one, can go little bit more expensive on purpose than NVIDIA.. and take the market, without having do it the NVIDIA way.

Well if you're looking at Big Navi vs 5700XT, if I'm reading it right it has double the potential SPs (5120 vs 2560) and a small clock boost (2050Mhz vs 1905Mhz) for a nominal 13W more (238W vs 225W). Assuming the architecture isn't dramatically different, and the drivers are not utter rubbish like they were for the 5700XT (Google it), then in theory it's almost double the performance available.

Guess we'll have to wait to see how it translates when released and reviewed. Looks promising though, especially when the 5700XT when it worked could probably sit around 2060/2070/2080 performance levels depending on game and resolutions https://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graph...00-xt-rx-5700/.

Which means it could potentially match the 3080.

Yes but will it crash to desktop when it hits 2GHz
If OEM's execute cooling properly on those GPU's and actually test them for stability, then there should be no crashing.
Even AMD's own reference GPU's will probably be fine because AMD did mention they are changing the fan design (hopefully for the better)... and I would think AMD will be able to achieve lower/stable voltages for given frequencies.

Re: AMD Radeon RX 6000 GPU specs spotted in MacOS beta code

I never had driver issues with my 5700XT, it have crashed 2 - 3 times in o ver a year, every time while browsing.
I dont play much so thats probably why, but when new i played metro exedous - gears 5 and the previous wolfstein game, and they all ran fine on my hardware.

But i acknowledge others might have problems, but just like windows me and vista, which also dident give me any grief worth mentioning, and in those days i was overclocking the snot out of my computers, and gaming,,,,, pretty much all the time.

listings here still have the 3070 at 1000 DKkr more than my powercolor 5700 XT red devil, which are not the cheapest 5700XT card here, but the 3070 are a much stronger card of course but VS the new offerings coming from AMD it might be priced wrong.

It cant get to be the end of October fast enough, even if i am not looking to buy a new GFX card.

I thought it was nice of jays2cents to conduct 'the capacitor'
misdirection campaign on behalf of nvidia. Turned out it was
a rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishty nvidia driver. Now nvidia fangirls are upset because
they lost a fraction power. Look out for the same suspects to
launch fake tech news when AMD launches Navi.

Only 1 GHz for navi 10? 5700/XT will happily boost to around double that - more like the navi 14 entry. I guess we'll find out what's really going on with the RDNA2 clocks once reviews hit
