It launches on my birthday! Haha! Shame i definitely won’t actually get one then lol
Relative to the 5700 XT, it looks like it will be the newer architecture, more memory, (likely) less memory bandwidth, and somewhat lower power consumption. It'll be interesting to see how it compares in a direct comparison.
It'd be nice to see a 150W option with 8 GB of VRAM. I currently have that in my RX 480, and back before all the cards disappeared from shelves, one of the reason I wasn't upgrading was most of the options in the same price and power bracket required "upgrading" to less VRAM. The 6700 (non-XT) might be perfect if it didn't have less VRAM than the 5700 (non-XT).
It's all kind of academic if they can't stock any, though. So perhaps 6 GB for the 6700 makes the most sense, if that lets them produce more of them.
The stock on this GPU will be poor. No doubt about that,
Yup, I think demand would be sky high, but if the 6800 launch is anything to go by, think its gonna be a shambles supply wise.
Wonder if they will be following suit on Nvidias action against miners...
To some degree, their infinity cache is already anti mining as it allows them to cut down the memory interface width and memory clock speeds. Games will benefit from the cache and not be harmed, but the likes of mining needs access to the full DAG file.
OFC in the current climate, pretty much anything will sell so its rather academic. Even a 4GB card would probably end up mining Ravencoin rather than running less demanding games
Interesting, just hope the pricing is better than the current cards compared to Nvidia lineup! That said, you're lucky to get either anywhere near RRP
Rumoured to cost $479~$499.

There's meant to be an event showcasing the 6700 XT on the 3rd March and if the release of the 6800, 6800 XT and 6900 XT is anything to go by, the 6700 XT performance could rival the RTX 3070 for a more attractive price point...hopefully
