Great news - I had worried that Sony might have given up on the idea, given how "average" the PSVR was in practice...but if they are going in on this again, this is great!
Not that I am likely to use their hardware for it, but the more investment in VR continues, the better the chance it won't end up being another 3DTV

I strongly suspect there'll be an extra device to enable "wireless", or even a new headset, just to hammer to wallet even more.

I found the reliability of the tracking to be a huge issue with PSVR. It would be fine for a short while, then your weapon would jump to an off angle.

Still not completely sold on VR, saying that... I'm still not even really keen on curved screens either... xD
I'm still waiting for them to properly implement something similar to the old light guns... that'd make VR a little more enticing for me.

Erm, I'm guessing you haven't actually tried VR? Shooting games are really a done deal at this point. I play a lot of Space Pirate Trainer where you shoot things with a ray/laser/grenade launcher gun. Then there's Dead and Buried western gunslinger game, Half Life Alyx and even various archery games.

VR is really good at this stuff, just using the standard hard controller. You can get gun adaptors to make then feel more like you are holding a gun if that helps you, I never bothered. It's not like you can see the hand controller, you have a headset on, so you see a gun

I wouldn't mind finally watching Dredd in 3D in HD(I have the Blu-ray) so hopefully PSVR2 will do that at some point. PSVR 1 apparently was sub HD when watching 3D and had to wait while before it was updated to support even that.
