Just edited my earlier post to mention that my "about $700" was actually only the 'OldSpend' part (and thus inaccurate), as mine isn't even showing the 'TotalSpend' right now.
A quick search suggests that 'TotalSpend' disappears for a little while if you bought something recently (which I did, a couple of DLCs), so it can take time to recalculate the total.
Just under $1400. Considering I've had a Steam account since 2008, that's not too bad. Although the OldSpend is $300, so it really amounts to less than $50/year the first few years, and a bit under $200/year the past 6 years. Still seems reasonable considering I was in college and didn't have much of an income early on. I know my average hardware spend per year was higher than that game average for the first half of that time, and am pretty sure it's been higher the second half.
That doesn't include HumbleBundle/my GOG library, but probably covers most of my games (approximately 430 on Steam including Humble, 70 on GOG), especially by playtime. I believe it also covers games that are gifts, which I'd guesstimate at a couple hundred of the total.

That is definitely not right, as i've spent more than that directly in steam in the past few months....although the vast majority of my steam library comes from humble bundle or similar.
