There's me thinking ring lights were for the 'look at me, look at me' streamer chumps, not for 'gamers'.

Ikea self assembly furniture with an Asus tax?? Surely you could just get something better quality which is already assembled?

    It sounds... just.... awful.

Myself I'd suggest getting furniture, some creepy skull ornaments, a reel of LEDs and a soldering iron. Make something unique and utterly creepy / dramatic and call it your own.

I did something simple for my kitchen as you simply couldn't buy the sort of thing I needed. Nice and easy and the hardest part was the conformal coating as it was for kitchen use.

Re: IKEA's Asus ROG furniture is going global in October

My vote is Danish designer furniture, but the price make ROG and Ikea combined look like cheapo.
BUT ! no assembly required of that.

BTW that got me remembering the first gamer chair i ever tried, this was in the days when C&C and red Alert was new, and it was a nice comfortable recliner leather chair, with a pad for the mouse attached to the wood part of the right arm rest, and then you had the keyboard in the lap.
With the good eyes one have as a young person it was no problem seeing the 17" CRT screen and slaughter anyone who dare oppose me.

I am inclined to make something like that if anyone would make a interesting game to play, cuz now many many years later i find i get more and more comfort seeking.

Some of this stuff is already showing on Ikea UK's website.
They're also running a Rocket League tournament with cash prizes for the best teams.

    See https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/new/a-better-gaming-experience-by-ikea-and-rog-pub75c53470

And ring lights can be had at Asda now.
