Microsoft Announce X-Box 2 unveiling with MTV

Microsoft, in a superb piece of one-upmanship, have announced that they'll be revealing the X-Box 2 in an MTV special to be broadcast around the world.

Viewers will get an exclusive look at the Xbox vision for the next generation — one that ensures that the user experience is always connected, always personalized and always in high definition. The special will feature never-before-seen, action-packed gameplay of future Xbox games, a peek into the future of the Xbox Live™ online gaming service, backstage celebrity interviews and exclusive insider footage on the making of the next-generation console.
We'll get to see what's what at 8pm May 13th.

Check out the full press release here.

It's got dual 6800gt's in sli mode, an amd fx-55 - 1gb of matched corsair 3200 mem and a pair of 80gb raptors in hardware raid0! even better it's running gameslinux(tm) with custom drivers!
it's always fun to mess with people's heads before a product launch

well I heard it comes in three version, one just does the normal gaming thing, the next one up can do a decent cappucino and the top level machine does frappes and warm danish.

ANd MS have ditched the numeric naming convention and called the "X-starbocks".
