Lego Star Wars: The Video Game

This is what has to be one of the kookiest link up's seen in a long while, but strangely enough it works really well and the go I had on it at Game Stars last September showed that it was looking very polished even back then.

You can now get your hands on a demo version just to see what all the fuss is about... sure, it's not the most involving of games but in a strange way stays faithful to the Star Wars universe, even more so than some of the Lucasarts SW efforts that have been released in the past.

Grab yourself a piece of the action here.

I have played this briefly at a friends place and must admit its not actually that good, there is no mouse control at all and what with him not owning a pad found the keys quite difficult to use.

Weird, I got in with it fine using my keyboard...

It is a console port, truth be told, but for just fun, from what I've played of the demo, I like it.

I've played the demo - it was fun, but I'm sure that once the novelty has worn off I'll get bored very quickly. Having said that, it looks as though it could be a game that you just play in short goes every now again - you don't really need to get into it to really enjoy it, you just start blowing stuff up

That's what the extra characters are for. You can cycle though the characters, including the android and Jar Jar, who can jump usefully high (despite still being annoying)
