IN the japanese press the price is being quoted as 50,000 yen about £250.
so that will be £400 in the UK.

Another good source to which i have lost the link to now has spoken to a Sony official and he stated it'll be the same as the PS1 and PS2 prices when they were released. Although he was speaking of the american market.

I don't have a problem paying even £500, i just don't want to be paying £500 here if the americans have it for $500. That'll just be taking the P***

Just saw the shots. WOW! If they actually are in-game pics then I'm sold.

The Getaway looks awesome - 100% accurate representation of the Piccadilly Circus end of Regent Street.

Marv Burkett, nVidia's Chief Financial Officer, has revealed to Games Digest that the RSX chip, due to power the PS3 is currently unfinished. The chip is not due to be available to anyone until September. Which means the stunning visuals shown at E3 could not have been created on one, casting doubt on the validity of Sony claims that the visuals were real PS3 in-game footage.

Burkett has commented that the visuals had been created on current nVidia hardware of roughly the same power as the RSX. That still casts some doubts on the PS3's barn-storming E3 presence, and particularly whether much of the footage (as it appeared to be) was done, at best, using the game engine to create cut-scenes, or whether it was really realtime, in-game footage.

Well any fool could tell that most of the footage was not in-game as such. Theres just no way they could do those kinds of complicated animations using a controller.

Just like GTA and MGS etc, they must have been pre-animated cut scenes using the game engines on PS3-equivalent hardware. Well, the ones i saw anyway.

I think i'm going to have to stay out of PS3 threads until next E3 by which time we'll have definitely seen real in-game footage, too much speculation for my liking.

Anyone remember FFVII? They presented the rendered cutscenes as in game footage. Technically cutscenes are 'in game' as they are in fact, in the game!
