Xbox 360 aspires to break Japan

The BBC, despite the fact that a lot people didn't roll in for word this morning (watching shakey cameras on the lunchtime news and incorrect VTs was quite amusing, I must say) they are still knocking out some news. It would seem that the fate of Microsoft's XBox 360, in Japan at least, may rest with the creator of the Final Fantasy series.

Microsoft has turned to Mr Sakaguchi to help make the sorts of games that will ensure the 360 meets a better fate.

While the top-selling Xbox games in the US are shooting titles such as Halo, in Japan, the big hitters tend to be role-playing and adventure games.

I still think the PS3 is going to rule with its quite awesome featureset. And if the Cell is not vaporware as they have already demoed some of its amazing capabilities, I am sure Sony is resourceful enough to stick a Cell setup in anything that requires tremendour processing power like their graphics desktops and workstations. I am sure Sony has a lot of things up their sleeves.
