EA announce Battlefield 2: Special Forces expansion pack

Yep, it had to happen... it was obvious really. With the success of Battlefield 2, EA simply had to bring out an expansion, and we've got details of what to expect and screenies of the game for your perusal in the HEXUS.gaming First Looks Section.

The new gadgets available will include zip lines, grappling hooks, tear gas, and flash-bang grenades and amongst the new vehicles are the Desert Raider, Combat ATV, and Apache Longbow. Dynamic Lighting and Low Light Vision bring stealth and tactics to the battlefield, allowing players to hide in the dark or spot enemies with night vision goggles.

From what i've seen, it looks like some nice additions. But the game has only been out a month, we've had 2 patches and still have too many bugs. EA/DICE should concentrate on getting the game working 100% before announcing add-ons. I'd like to know how many add-ons their expecting to release, as i feel we are going to see EA spamming ala The Sims.

I see this game expanding with the Mods, when they start showing (come on EA, release the mod tools) and don't intend on throwing money at expansion packs.
