    Wikipedia subjected to BBC viral marketing?

    Perusing Slashdot today I came across an article on BoingBoing, looking at an entry in Wikipedia that looks to be a promotion for a new BBC online game.
    Someone has apparently abused collaborative reference site Wikipedia in a viral marketing campaign for a BBC online alternate reality game. Boing Boing readers ask whether the BBC (or someone acting on their behalf, like a promotional agency) is responsible.
    The game is Jamie Kane. Check out the Wikipedia entry and related discussion thread. Oh, and here's the Jamie Kane web page.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Its for young girls 14-18.

    How many young girls of that age read wikipedia and will look for "Jamie Kennedy"

    The viral marketing campaign was bought up into the light now because of this controversy. Now people will spot this as a thing for their daughters to use and recommend it.

    This side of it (not the wikipedia entry) IS the marketing campaign.
