    HEXUS.beans :: MSI RD480 Neo2 - CrossFire Motherboard

    At a computer games convention you’d expect to see a bit of hardware, but all stuff directly related to games such as joypads, steering wheels… the odd mouse mat and that'd be about it. But over on the ATI stand, MSI are showing of something rather special, a running example of their MSI RD480 Neo2 Mainboard.

    That looks like a pretty atrocious board design

    How on Earth are you going to fit a PCI card in that bottom slot? It will just block the cooling off!

    A lead yes, a product, no.

    You get a lovely GeCube card with Uniwise cooling, taking up only one slot instead of two. Well that's what I'd want.

    I know that Nick has worked as a professional chef - so I expect his .beanz are fresh and tasty as ever...

    ...but there have been other ATI/MSI .beanz cooked up recently by Willie Deeplung that seem to be well past their sell-by date

    NO putting a PCI card in the bottom slot will NOT block the cooling. Look at the cool more carefully and remember it exhauses warm air out the back of the case.
