ATi in Santa Clara had Dual Graphics cards working on Intel platforms back in December 2004. Whilst NVIDIA beat them to the market place it appears that ATi have been holding back to deliver a solution which aims to make the user experience easier from the offset.
We understand that the Crossfire solution which ATi looks to be bringing to the market place for AMD will also be matched with the release of an Intel version later this week. We also know that the 955X boards from Intel are capable of also running a Crossfire configuration. Whilst this may not have the same performance as an ATi based chipset it seems that Crossfire has the potential to be a lot wider spread.
