BBC leaks Video iPod? Wait, what?

You either love or loath them, anyhow BBC 6 music leaked about the Video IPod launching next week?

During a broadcast earlier in the day, BBC 6 Music news reported “Apple is set to unveil a new video iPod at the BBC Television Centre in London on October the 12th. The company is expected to reveal details of the new MP3 and video player as well as video bundles to be available from the company’s iTunes stores.”

As people may have realised, this one is all over the net now.

Another interesting discussion is taking place in the ilounge.

Bottom line, in our view, and as David has said, is wait and see.

There are many possible ties-ups between Apple and the Beeb that might be announced and which would be more logical than using BBC premises for the UK launch of a video iPod .

We'll report back as soon as possible from the Apple event at Television Centre taking place on Wed evening.

This centres on a live satellite broadcast from California starting 6pm British time.
