so just need one of those mobo's 2x 7800gtx's an AMD X2 4200 + 4gb's uber RAM and theres one awesome pc
Yep thats pretty much what I'm planning on, only I was thinking of 2 GB of Corsair 3500LL (thats what their pedaling as the partner ram for that Mobo)
Fabulous feature packed motherboard.
Just read the review on THG about the Intel equivalent - they absolutely raved about it.
The only thing I'm not too keen on are those 40mm fans which could well be noisy / buzzy. Having said that, that motherboard with the fans removed, in a P180 and a Scythe Ninja could well be perfect, with 2 x Nexus case fans provinding the only cooling.
Gives me a excuse to upgrade my whole system though a bit pricey at £150....
Interestingly the Asus A8N-SLi Premium (which uses what appears to be same / similar heatpipe system) comes with warning that it shouldn't be used in cases with 'upside down' motherboards eg. Temjin, V2000 etc. Would be curious to know how valid that warning is - I remember the Zalman GPU coolers used to come with the same warning, but I never noticed any problems with heat transfer in upside down motherboards. Would be interesting to see what user's experiences are as I have one of those 'upside down' motherboards...
