With the release of the GeForce 7800 GTX 512, the AIBs are in action creating their own versions. With almost all of NVIDIA's partners creating a version of the SKU, differentiation is the key to any success. We published a look at XFX's version earlier today, the XXX Edition relying on a clock hike to set itself apart.
Recently, a final engineering sample of EVGA's BlackPearl 512MB showed up at the Rys's Reviewing Sweatshop and it's clear EVGA look to go one better.
Not only is their attempt clocked much higher than even XFX's XXX Edition, it's watercooled to boot. It's a shame the cooler on the engineering sample, while final in design and implementation, isn't the sleek black of retail examples.
The shots below should give you an idea of what to expect, and the full review will be up on HEXUS.core in the next couple of days.
