I'd love to watch these programs and see what utter boll*cks they spout about climate change.

Presumably, you don't have Sky or Freeview, so feel compelled to judge sight unseen, based on the knowledge that the BBC is always total rubbish?

No, yes, yes - not to mention the research i've done into El Nino personally.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/feature...o_events.shtml

Cost of £20 billion in damage globally. Cost of $9 billion in the U.S alone. Fails to mention the generation of $19 billion in profits in the U.S. alone.

Cost of over 2000 lives worldwide. Loss of 189 lives in the U.S. alone. Fails to mention the 850 lives it saved in the U.S. alone.

From personal experience I think I can safely make assumptions about 'scientific' programs on an entertainment medium. I imagine the program deviated little from the BBC article above.

    Care to explain:

    * How El Niño generated $19b profit in the USA?

    * How El Niño saved 850 lives in the USA?

    * Something about your personal experience?

From research, documented in various science journals. The same research that also produce the figures for losses, the only figures common media reproduce.

Personal experience being "I've watched the telly before".

You mean American "if we'd have signed up to the Kyoto treaty it would have made a .4% difference in global climate change over 100 years". Any and every source you have to of course take it's background into consideration. Other studies cooroborate it's findings from different parts of the world.

How about, take a look at the publication I posted, read it's feature article, and check its bibliography and references.
